Visitors to this website may be familiar with Mark Sedgwick’s “Traditionalists” blog, where Sedgwick continues the discussion of Traditionalism he began with his controversial 2004 book Against the Modern World: Traditionalism and the Secret Intellectual History of the Twentieth Century (Oxford University Press). In a recent post, Sedgwick called attention to an article in the Journal for the Study of Radicalism by Stéphane François, dealing with what François has dubbed the “Euro-pagan” music scene. Over the last few years, we have received numerous inquiries about the strictly limited-edition Waldteufel—Berghoch am Walde 7" vinyl record, originally released by Ultra. Both Annabel Lee (Alraune, Blood Axis) and Markus Wolff appear on the record, which features the tracks “Berghoch am Walde (Lichtkranzweihe)” and “Perchtentanz.” The songs were recorded in 1999, and represent some of Waldteufel ’s earliest work.
